In the 10 years I have known you,
You made me giggle and smile,
I knew right there from the start,
You were the best dad by a country mile.
You always knew how to light up a room,
With your bad jokes and fun,
You were always the light of the party,
Sharon really did hit the home run.
My first time at booth road,
When I first met you,
Interrupting a passionate kiss,
We really didn’t think that through!
Connor loved to chat to you,
About your mutual love of rugby,
And of course share a glass of Guinness,
Always stealing the alcohol smugly.
Flying helicopters was clearly not your forte
You and taite proved that so,
Had them crashing all over the place,
You should re-think that for sure.
Caitlin and I came into your family,
And from the first day we met,
You welcomed us with open arms,
And for that we will never forget.
I can’t thank you enough,
For all that you and Sharon have done,
For the love of my life,
That who is your son.
